Midfielder Kwasi Sibo has described his inclusion in Black Stars' squad as a blessing.

The Real Oviedo midfield enforcer earned a debut call-up to the senior national team in the Matchday 8 game in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Sibo was paired with Thomas Partey in midfield for the game against Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium after Elisha Owusu was suspended for the game.

Reflecting on his debut performance, the 25-year-old describes his debut call-up as a blessing.

“Being part of the 23-man squad is a blessing. If you get the opportunity, you must seize it,” Sibo told Graphic Sports.

Sibo also assured that they will give everything to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

“We have to give our all to make the dream of 2026 World Cup qualification a reality. That’s what Ghanaians expect of us.”

The Black Stars will regroup in October for their final round of games in the qualifying series against Central African Republic and Comoros, with Kwasi Sibo aiming to cement his place in the team.
