Callum Hudson-Odoi made a huge statement with his performance for Nottingham Forest against Tottenham Hotspur as the debate over his potential international switch continues.

The former England youth international scored a brace to lead the Reds to a stunning 3-0 victory over the Europa League winners at the City Ground Stadium on Sunday.

Hudson-Odoi opened the scoring halfway into the first half after cooly slotting home from an Ibrahim Sangare pass. He doubled the advantage five minutes after the break with a sensational curler before Sangare completed victory late in the match.

His performance has opened up the debate for his invitation to the national team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Despite reportedly turning down Ghana in the past, the former Chelsea player is believed to be strongly interested in playing for the Black Stars.

Meanwhile, Ghana coach Otto Addo is considering his options as he prepares a strong squad for the tournament to be held in North America next year.

Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside Hudson-Odoi's birth nation, England, Croatia and Panama.

Mohammed Kudus saw 80th minutes of action before he was replaced by Brenan Johnson in the defeat to Forest.
