Vision FC coach Nana Kwaku Agyemang slams players' lackadaisical attitude after Heart of Lions defeat
· GhanaSoccernetVision FC head coach Nana Kwaku Agyemang has openly criticized his outfit lack of intensify following defeat to Heart of Lions in matchday 28 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Eewo Family succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Heart of Lions at the Kpando Stadium on Sunday. Goals from Kelvin Asenso and Michael Ephson in the first ensured the host secured maximum points in the highly competitive clash.
The hosts made a bright start and quickly turned their early dominance into a goal, with Asenso breaking the deadlock in the 11th minute. Ephson later capped off a fine team move to double the advantage, sending Heart of Lions into the break with a comfortable two-goal lead.
With no further goals in the second half, the home side saw out the game professionally to secure all three points.
Nana Kwaku Agyemang has, however, criticized his players for lack of commitment following defeat to Lions.
“I think in the first half we lacked commitment and didn’t press enough. There was a bit of a lackadaisical attitude among the players. In the second half, we had to make three quick substitutions to change the dynamics of the game. We improved and played much better after the break, but Heart of Lions were already on top and ultimately secured the points at stake.” he said.
The victory lifts Heart of Lions to 10th place in the Ghana Premier League standings, while Vision FC drop to 13th with 35 points.
