We have to concentrate on the next game – Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko after GoldStars win
· GhanaSoccernetMedeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko has urged his players to maintain focus despite a crucial 2-0 victory over title rivals Bibiani Gold Stars.
Salim Adams scored both goals as Medeama moved five points clear at the top of the Ghana Premier League table with four matches remaining.
The result was a significant statement in the title race, but Tanko quickly shifted attention to the next challenge.
"We have to concentrate. We are playing again on Wednesday against Berekum Chelsea. We beat them; we are happy, but we have to concentrate on the next game," Tanko said in his post-match press conference.
Medeama, who won the league in the 2022-2023 season, are now within touching distance of another championship. However, Tanko's message was clear: the job is not done yet. With four games still to play, every point matters, and his side cannot afford to ease up.
