Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has issued a bold statement of intent ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, insisting the Black Stars will overpower all their group-stage opponents.

The four-time African champions are preparing for their fifth appearance at the global tournament, where they have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.

Ghana will be aiming to improve on their recent World Cup outings in 2014 and 2022, when they failed to progress beyond the group stage in Brazil and Qatar respectively.

Speaking to members of the Ghanaian community in the United States, Okraku struck a confident tone about the team’s prospects.

“We have three opponents at this World Cup: Panama, England and Croatia. We will crush all of them," he said.

The Black Stars begin their campaign against Panama on Wednesday at BMO Field in Toronto, before taking on England at Gillette Stadium on June 23 and concluding their group fixtures against Croatia on June 27.

The team is expected to arrive in Canada later today as preparations intensify for their opening match.
