Ghanaian forward David Osei joins SK Artis Brno
· GhanaSoccernetDavid Osei is the latest fresh face at SK Artis Brno, with the 21-year-old Ghanaian forward arriving to reinforce the club’s attacking options and embody its blend of youthful energy and experience.
Osei, described as a dynamic, hungry striker, joins from the reserves of Spanish side CD Leganés, where he has already taken important steps in adapting to European football.
Speaking after his arrival in Brno from Vienna airport, Osei admitted the Czech winter is a shock but said he is excited for the challenge and eager to get started in training.
"I'm looking forward to joining the training, even though it's really cold. I've never experienced such a temperature before, and it's also the first time I've seen snow in real life... Last year I wasn't far from a short engagement in Vyškov, but the Czech Republic only really caught on now and I'm looking forward to a new challenge in Artis. His interest and actions seemed very professional and I think I'll definitely move forward in football here,"
Sporting director Vlastimil Chytrý praised Osei as a quick, versatile attacker who can operate on both wings.
"David is a fast type of player who is able to operate on both wings. In all youth categories, he collected a lot of points for goals and assists, which is one of the most important criteria for an offensive player in today's football. He comes from Spanish Leganés and his previous adaptation to European football is also important for us. He is another young and promising player and I believe that he will also help us achieve our goals,"
