General Manager of OGC Nice Fabrice Bocquet has expressed his delight following the acquisition of Ghanaian defender Kojo Peprah Oppong on the ongoing transfer window.

Peprah has completed a switch to the French Ligue 1 outfit from Norrkoping ahead of the start of the 2025/26 football campaign.

The talented defender established as a key figure in Norrkoping’s backline last season, with his commanding presence and composed performances earning him 23 appearances in the Allsvenskan.

His outstanding performance did not go unnoticed, earning him a significant move to the French club this summer.

However, the General Manager of Nice insists the Ghanaian defender can integrate quickly at the club considering his profile.

"He strengthens a key area, where we have several significant absences in this first half of the season, as the season promises to be busy and demanding. His profile and his determination to join us have convinced us that he has everything it takes to quickly integrate into the OGC Nice culture and Franck (Haise)'s expectations." he said.

A move to Ligue 1 not only presents an opportunity to test himself at a higher level but also reinforces the growing reputation of Ghanaian talents in top European leagues.

This transfer would be a major milestone in Oppong’s journey - from the youth ranks of Attram De Visser Soccer Academy in Accra to the bright lights of French football.
