Hearts of Oak fined GHS10,000 and warned for supporter misconduct during Kotoko clash
· GhanaSoccernetThe Ghana Football Association (GFA) has handed Hearts of Oak a GHS10,000 fine after finding the club guilty of misconduct in their Premier League clash against Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians were charged in November after losing the Super Clash by a goal to nil to their bitterest rivals.
After the match, the supporters of the club were alleged to have engaged in inappropriate conduct after objects were thrown onto the pitch.
After conducting its investigations, the GFA Disciplinary Committee has found Hearts of Oak guilty of misconduct and fined the club an amount of GHS10,000. The fine, accompanied by a warning, is expected to be paid within 14 days.
“Accra Hearts of Oak SC have been handed a GHS 10,000 fine and a warning by the Disciplinary Committee for misconduct following their Ghana Premier League match against Asante Kotoko SC.
“The club was found guilty of inappropriate behaviour by its supporters after the game, after objects were thrown onto the field of play. The fine is to be paid within fourteen (14) days of notification of the decision,” a notice from the GFA said on Monday, December 15.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak midfielder Mohammed Hussein, has been handed a three (3) game ban by the Disciplinary Committee for misconduct following a Ghana Premier League match against Asante Kotoko SC.
The player was found guilty of unsporting behaviour towards the match officials of the said game.
