· GhanaSoccernetAlemannia Aachen have completed the signing of German-Ghanaian defender Gideon Jung from Turkish side Kayserispor.
The 31-year-old joins the German third-division side pending international clearance from FIFA, which the club has already applied for due to the cross-border nature of the transfer. Jung arrives with vast experience gained across German and Turkish football.
He began his senior career at Rot-Weiss Oberhausen before moving to Hamburger SV, where he spent several seasons featuring in both the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. In 2021, he joined SpVgg Greuther Furth, further adding to his top-level experience before moving abroad to Turkey with Kayserispor.
Across his career, Jung has made 83 appearances in the Bundesliga and 125 in Germany’s second tier. He was also part of Germany’s squad that won the UEFA Under-21 European Championship in 2017.
