I’m called King of Division One, but I want to prove myself in the GPL – Bechem Utd coach Kobina Amissah
· GhanaSoccernetNew Bechem United head coach Kobina Amissah has stressed his determination to prove himself in the Ghana Premier League.
The coach, tagged as a Division One League expert after leading multiple clubs to promotion, officially commenced work as head coach of the Hunters on Wednesday, November 5, having replaced dismissed coach Desmond-Issah Botchway.
Speaking to Bechem UnitedTV in a pre-match interview ahead of the team’s upcoming match against Young Apostles, Kobina Amissah noted that after proving himself in the lower league, he wants to make a statement in the top-flight league.
“The feeling is good, especially since I’ve been out of the Premiership for a long time. So this is an opportunity to prove to people that coach Amissah can do better in the Premiership. People have been calling me the king of Division One, and so that achievement should be put aside for us to see if Coach Amissah can deliver in the Premiership. I believe I can deliver,” the highly-rated coach said.
The match between Young Apostles and Bechem United is scheduled to be played on Sunday, November 9.
A win for Kobina Amissah’s side will boost the team’s confidence and provide a chance to climb out of the relegation zone.
