Frimpong Manso delighted with Nations FC’s victory over Aduana FC to reach FA Cup final
· GhanaSoccernetThe head coach of Nations FC, Frimpong Manso, has shared his excitement after leading the team to the final of this season’s MTN FA Cup.
The coach and his side faced off with Aduana FC on Friday in the first semi-final match of the domestic cup competition.
In a game played at the Swedru Sports Stadium, a solitary strike from Emmanuel Annor powered Nations FC past the Premier League opposition to book their place in the final.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Frimpong Manso hailed the top performance of his players, despite ruing missed chances which could have made the final minutes of the contest easier.
“It feels great to be in this position. Everybody was excited about how the game was played. Bring the first team to qualify for the FA Cup final, we are very excited,” Manso said.
The Nations FC coach added, “The team has never won a trophy, and now they are in the final, so that alone gave them the motivation to go for the kill. We were in control, in terms of defending, we did not give them any space.”
After making it to the final, Nations FC will now face the winner of the second semi-final encounter between Dreams FC and Medeama SC.
