Karim Zito targets vital Berekum Chelsea win at Baba Yara Stadium

Karim Zito has made it clear that Asante Kotoko’s home match against Berekum Chelsea carries special weight for him and the club as they push for success in the Ghana Premier League.

The Kotoko head coach believes that winning key games like this is the only way the team can stay on track in their title hunt. With the season reaching an important stage, Zito wants his side to take full advantage of playing at the Baba Yara Stadium and collect all three points.

He stressed that past records and long runs without wins should not distract his team from the task ahead.

“The same thing was said when we were to play them they said for 15 years this and that this and that but we were able to overcome that and then we won," he told AKSC TV

"So now that they are coming to our place there's no two ways about it. We have to do everything possible to win this game. It's very very important to me,"

Asante Kotoko will host Berekum Chelsea on January 11 at the Baba Yara Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 3:30 pm.
