The Barcelona forward picked up a hamstring injury on his right leg while on international duty with the Brazil national team.
However, the 29-year-old will be out of action for five weeks due to the injury.
As a result, the former Leeds United star will now miss about eight matches, including a potential Champions League semi-final fixture for the Blaugrana in the coming days.
The matches Raphinha will miss for Barcelona include Atlético Madrid (LaLiga), Atletico Madrid (Champions League quarter-final first leg), Espanyol (LaLiga), Atlético Madrid (Champions League quarter-final second leg), Celta Vigo (LaLiga), Getafe (La Liga), potential Champions League semi-finals first leg, Osasuna (LaLiga), and potential UCL semi finals second leg.
Raphinha, who played in Brazil’s friendly 2-1 defeat to France, will now hope to recover on time to be part of Carlo Ancelotti’s final 2026 World Cup squad.
