NPFL: Niger Tornadoes announce resumption date for 2026-27 season
by Taiwo Adesanya · Daily PostNiger Tornadoes have announced Monday, 6 July, as the resumption date for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The Ikon Allah Boys stated that they will kick-start their pre-season preparations with the presentation of their newly appointed Technical Adviser, Kabiru Dogo, to the players.
Dogo took over the reins of the club following the departure of Majin Mohammed at the end of last season.
The former El-Kanemi Warriors tactician is expected to recruit new players for the upcoming season.
Niger Tornadoes managed to escape relegation last season.
The 2026-27 NPFL season will commence on Friday, 28 August.
