AFCON 2027Q: Madagascar, Guinea-Bissau gear up to name squads for Super Eagles

The Barea of Madagascar are set to unveil their squad for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Head coach Corentin Martins is expected to include three new players in his squad, according to Midi Madagasikara.

Five players from the Malagasy League could also be included, according to the daily newspaper.

The Barea will travel to Uyo for a matchday one clash against the Super Eagles on Thursday, 25 September.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s matchday two opponent, Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau, will also release their squad on Thursday.

Head coach, Emiliano Té will unveil the squad during an interaction with the media at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro.

The Djurtus will host the Super Eagles at the same venue on Tuesday, 29 September.

Nigeria head coach Éric Chelle is yet to release his squad for both games.
