Algeria defender Rayan Ait-Nouri is anticipating a difficult test against their quarter-final opponents, Nigeria.

The Desert Foxes have enjoyed a near flawless campaign at the  2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Vladimir Petković’s side have a hundred percent record, winning all their group games including the Round of 16 encounter against the Leopards of Democratic Republic of Congo.

The North Africans are also the only team  yet to concede in the competition.

The game against Nigeria is expected to be a sterner test for Algeria.

Ait-Nouri, who plays for Premier League club Manchester City insisted that they must be at their best to beat Éric Chelle’s men.

“The game will be very tough. We know Nigeria is a very difficult opponent, and we will have to be ready. There are no easy games at this stage,” he told reporters in Marrakech.
