Transfer: Real Madrid activate Espi’s release clause as Mourinho gets new striker

Espi was attracting interest from Premier League clubs, but Madrid have swooped in to land him.
Los Blancos have moved quickly for the striker at Jose Mourinho’s request, after Gonzalo Garcia joined Fulham.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Real Madrid sign Carlos Espí as new striker, here we go!
“€25m release clause activated from Levante with formal letter sent to the club tonight.
“Spanish striker joins immediately with medical in Madrid today.”
