Nations League: Lewandowski breaks Ronaldo’s record
by Ifreke Inyang · Daily PostPoland striker, Robert Lewandowski, has broken Cristiano Ronaldo’s record as the oldest player to score a hat-trick in the UEFA Nations League.
Lewandowski was on fire as his country hammered Romania 6-0 on Friday.
The 38-year-old netted in the 24th, 47th and 86th minutes in Warsaw.
It was also his record-extending 170th appearance for Poland and his goal tally to 92.

Ronaldo was 34 years and 120 days old when he scored a hat-trick for Portugal against Switzerland in the 2019 Nations League semi-final.
Lewandowski was 38 years and 42 days old when he completed his hat-trick against Romania.
