2026 World Cup: ‘You’re lucky’ – Tuchel slams England stars as they qualify for semi-final
by Ifreke Inyang · Daily PostEngland manager, Thomas Tuchel, has told his players that they are “lucky” to qualify for the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup.
The Three Lions beat Norway 3-1 in their quarter-final clash in Miami on Saturday night.
Andreas Schjelderup had opened the scoring, before Jude Bellingham equalized in stoppage time of the first half.
The game eventually went to extra time, where Bellingham struck again as England booked a last-four clash against Argentina.
After the match, Tuchel claimed the players were sloppy and not fast enough, making a lot of mistakes.
“We made life very, very difficult for ourselves,” Tuchel told ITV.
“We’re in the last four, amazing, but not happy in every sense.
“The commitment is there, but we made life very difficult. Sloppy, mistakes, not fast enough, not repetitive enough, we were lucky today.”
