Transfer: Osimhen reacts to Arsenal approach after scoring twice in Galatasaray’s 2-2 draw
by John Owen Nwachukwu · Daily PostNigeria international, Victor Osimhen, has refused to dismiss the possibility of leaving Galatasaray following speculation regarding a transfer to Arsenal.
Osimhen netted both goals for Galatasaray on Friday night. However, the Turkish champions were held to a 2-2 draw at home by newly promoted Corum FK in their opening match of the new Super Lig season.
Post-match, Osimhen approached the Galatasaray ultras situated behind the goal and apologised to the fans for the disappointing.
The Nigerian’s future with Galatasaray remains uncertain as Arsenal has explored the option of signing him.
When questioned about the speculation linking him to Arsenal, Osimhen stated, “There are always rumours during the transfer windows.
“I will focus on my responsibilities. My focus is on my work. We will see and consider what lies ahead then.”
However, Osimhen affirmed his commitment to Galatasaray should he remain with the club this summer.
“It is going to be a challenging season. The team is conscious of that.
“I am prepared to give my all for this club. This was a significant wake-up call. It served as a wake-up call for the players as well,” Osimhen said.
