AFCON: ‘We’re praying’ – Kanu sends message to Nigeria’s Super Eagles
by Don Silas · Daily PostFormer Arsenal star, Kanu Nwankwo has sent a message of support to the Super Eagles of Nigeria after their latest 3-2 victory against Tunisia at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Morocco.
DAILY POST reports that Eric Chelle’s side defeated Tunisia on Saturday night, thanks to goals from Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, and Lookman Ademola.
The Super Eagles have now booked their place in the AFCON Round of 16 stage following their latest win against the North Africans.
Reacting, Kanu, a former Super Eagles captain, congratulated Chelle’s men and told them that Nigerians are praying for them.
“Today we won. Congratulations to our dear Super Eagles @ng_supereagles,” Kanu wrote.
“Well done, we move to the next game, we are praying.”
The Super Eagles will now face Uganda in their last Group C game in the coming days.
