AFCON: I fancy them – Ex-Leeds United defender, Kerr predicts Nigeria vs Mozambique
by Don Silas · Daily PostFormer Leeds United defender, Dylan Kerr, has predicted a ‘tough’ game when Nigeria face Mozambique in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, Round of 16 tie on Monday.
Kerr pointed out that while the Super Eagles have a strong history against Mozambique, having won four out of five meetings, he believes the match could still be unpredictable.
Historically, Nigeria has dominated their previous encounters, including a commanding 3-0 win in their only AFCON tie back in 2010.
However, addressing the current scenario, Kerr told Flashscore, “You never know what can happen. It’ll be a tough game, and can go either way.
“I fancy Mozambique to put up a good game against Nigeria.”
The match is set to kick off at 8 pm, Nigerian time.
