2026 U-20 WWC: Falconets overcome England 3-0 to reach quarter-finals
by Mike Oyebola · Daily PostNigeria’s Falconets booked a place in the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup following a comfortable 3-0 victory over England at the Bielsko-Biala Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
Tosin Rafiu gave Nigeria the lead in the seventh minute.
Rafiu make a superb run into the England box, dribbled past a defender before slotting the ball into the net.
England were awarded a penalty in 33rd minute after Rebecca Adegbemile fouled an opponent inside the box.
