AFCON: Coaches must prepare to be sacked – Morocco’s Regragui ahead Super Eagles clash

by · Daily Post

The head coach of Morocco, Walid Regragui, has claimed coaches must always be prepared to be sacked.

Regragui was answering questions at his pre-match conference ahead of their semi-final clash with Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

When specifically asked if he fears for his job if he loses to the Super Eagles, he replied: “Every coach knows he must be prepared for the sack [if he doesn’t win].

“But I don’t think about that… I’m not afraid [of being sacked].”

The Atlas Lions are looking to win only their second AFCON title in history this weekend.
