EPL: Carragher picks match that will make Arsenal champions after Man City draw

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has said that Arsenal will be Premier League champions if they beat West Ham this weekend.

Carragher was speaking on Monday Night Football after Manchester City played out a 3-3 draw at Everton.

The result saw City lose ground on the Gunners, who are now five points clear.

Pep Guardiola’s men, however, have a game in hand, with most of the fixtures coming at the Etihad.

Carragher was asked about Man City having one away game left at Bournemouth and he replied: “It’s a tough away game, they [Bournemouth] are in great form.

“From an Arsenal perspective, tonight is about the league, but can you imagine the stadium tomorrow [for the CL semi-final second leg]?

“The excitement for the competition, the energy from the fans that will be in that stadium. To get to a Champions League final, the league is in your hands with three games to go.

“If Arsenal win against West Ham next Sunday, they win the league.”
