Turkey: Icardi far superior than you – Erman Toroğlu hits Osimhen

Ekol TV commentator Erman Toroğlu has insisted that Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi is far superior to teammate Victor Osimhen.

Toroğlu made the remark while criticising Osimhen’s performance against Antalyaspor in the Turkish Süper Lig tie on Saturday.

Recall that goals from Osimhen, Icardi, Leroy Sané and Roland Sallai secured a 4-1 win for Galatasaray against Antalyaspor.

However, Osimhen missed several vital chances against the hosts, leaving Toroğlu unimpressed with the Nigerian international.

“We say Antalyaspor is a very bad team. I’m very curious whether they will stay in the league or not.

“Icardi is very good with one-touch shots. For example, I would debate whether Osimhen could make that shot, but Icardi can.

“If the balls Osimhen couldn’t score in the first half had gone to Icardi, he definitely would have scored. In terms of football quality, Icardi is far superior to Osimhen.

“Osimhen made a mistake by not passing to Yunus in the chance he missed in the first half. Because that chance was a sure thing,” Toroğlu said (via Habersarikirmizi).
