Mourinho breaks down in tears ahead of Benfica vs Vitoria Guimaraes clash

Benfica manager, Jose Mourinho, could not hold back his tears ahead of their game against Vitoria Guimaraes on Saturday night.

Mourinho became visibly emotional durinng the minute’s silence in memory of Silvino Louro.

Louro was a long-time member of his coaching staff.

The former Portuguese goalkeeper died at 67 following a long illness.

He worked with Mourinho at Porto and went on to follow him in his spells at Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Ahead of the game against Vitoria Guimaraes, Mourinho could be seen with reddened eyes, looking up at the big screen where a photo of Silvino had appeared.

As he turned back to the dugout, he wiped away the tears before kick-off.
