World Cup 2026: Wayne Rooney names two countries to play final

Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney, has named England and France to play the 2026 World Cup final.

Rooney spoke after England defeated Norway 2-1 in the World Cup quarter-final encounter on Saturday.

Recall that Jude Bellingham’s brace ensured England defeated Norway and will now face Argentina in the semi-final for a place in the final.

Asked to name two teams to play in the World Cup final, Rooney told BBC Sport, “England vs France.

“I think I’d rather face Argentina. I think Switzerland are really organised in how they play, and I think it could be a tricky game for England,” he added.
