2026 World Cup: SuperComputer predicts teams to qualify from Round of 16
by Ifreke Inyang · Daily PostThe Opta SuperComputer has predicted the teams that will qualify from the last 16 into the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup.
The fixture list has now been determined, following the completion of the last-32 fixtures on Saturday morning.
Argentina will face Egypt, while Switzerland play Colombia.
Other last-16 fixtures will see Portugal square up against Spain, USA face Belgium, Morocco take on Canada and Paraguay clash with France.
Brazil will tackle Norway on Sunday, and Mexico will battle England on Monday.
Opta has now given France (86.09%), Argentina (78.90%), Spain (62.16%), Brazil (65.12%), England (54.57%), Colombia (52.92%), USA (50.26%) and Morocco (63.74%) the biggest chances of making the last eight.
