CAF Awards 2025: Super Falcons crowned National Team of the Year

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have been crowned National Team of the Year at the 2025 CAF Awards, DAILY POST reports.

Justine Madugu’s side won a record-extending 10th title at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in August.
The West Africans rallied to beat hosts Morocco 3-2 in a thrilling final.

The Super Falcons beat the Black Queens of Ghana and the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco to clinch the award.
President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Ibrahim Gusau, received the award on behalf of the team.

Meanwhile, Flamingos captain Shakirat Moshood lost out to Morocco’s Doha El Madani in the Young Women’s Player of the Year category.
