EPL: Alex Ferguson hanging around Man Utd like bad smell – Roy Keane
by Ifreke Inyang · Daily PostFormer Manchester United captain, Roy Keane, has claimed that legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson is part of the problems at the club, as he is “hanging on like a bad smell”.
Keane, who fell out with Ferguson in 2005, was reacting to some of the decisions taken at Old Trafford recently.
Earlier in the week, Darren Fletcher revealed he spoke to Ferguson, before accepting to be the Red Devils’ caretaker manager.
Under Fletcher, United played out a 2-2 draw at Burnley in the Premier League.
But Keane said on Sky Sports: “You see who’s making the decisions at Manchester United… you still have [Alex] Ferguson and David Gill [former chief executive] hanging on like a bad smell.
“Who’s making the decisions? [Sir Jim] Ratcliffe, [Jason] Wilcox? Who’s coming into this interview process, you’re speaking to a manager, you get a feel for somebody and go “he’s the guy for us?”
