Junior men’s hockey World Cup | Indian boys’ campaign begins against Chile
India is in Pool-B with Pakistan, Chile and Switzerland

Keerthivasan · The HinduIndia will play its first match against Chile in the FIH junior men’s hockey World Cup in Chennai on November 28, followed by a game against Pakistan on 29th, according to the fixtures released by Udhayanidhi Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, at a function here on Monday.
India is in Pool-B with Pakistan, Chile and Switzerland.
The host will play Pakistan and Chile in Chennai, whereas the match against Switzerland (December 2) will be held in Madurai.
December 3 will be a rest day.
The crossover stages will begin on December 4 and will be held in both cities. The final will be in Chennai at 8 p.m. on December 10.
The World Cup will be held from November 28 to December 10.
On conflicting reports of Pakistan’s participation in the tournament, Dilip Tirkey, Hockey India president, said: “International Hockey Federation and the Indian government have welcomed the Pakistan team as you can see their name in the fixtures, but we haven’t received any confirmation from Pakistan Hockey Federation yet. We are waiting.”
Atulya Misra, Additional Chief Secretary to Tamil Nadu government, was present.
Tayyab Ikram, president of FIH, Bhola Nath Singh, Hockey India secretary, also spoke.
