Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk undercard, running order and UK fight times

by · Manchester Evening News

Tyson Fury hopes to rewrite boxing history tonight when rematching Oleksandr Usyk seven months after losing their first fight.

Usyk became the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999 earlier this year and is the only boxer to beat Fury in a professional bout. Avenging that result would set up a potential trilogy fight in the new year, but another defeat could end any hopes of revenge.

Before that, the co-main event showcases Serhii Bohachuk and Ishmael Davis in what promises to be another exhilarating match on the pay-per-view card. Tonight also marks the return of Moses Itauma, who continues to impress every time he steps into the ring.

Also on the undercard, rising British star Johnny Fisher will aim to preserve his unbeaten record against returning veteran Dave Allen. Here is everything you need to know about tonight's bouts...

Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - 11pm UK time

The main event features a thrilling showdown between two of the world's top heavyweights. They will clash for the second time as Usyk aims to definitively end the rivalry with another victory over the 'Gypsy King'.

Fury, 36, has appeared more focused than ever in the lead-up to the fight after tasting defeat for the first time as a professional mere months ago. After their first encounter, boxing fans can anticipate another entertaining showdown.

Sergei Bohachuk vs Ishmael Davis - 9.30pm.

Tonight's line-up was due to feature a bout between Sergei Bohachuk and Israil Madrimov, a much-anticipated showdown between two top-tier fighters. However, due to health concerns, Madrimov had to pull out of the fight.

Ishmael Davis is the replacement fighter and comes into the fight after a narrow defeat to Josh Kelly in September. Bohachuk, meanwhile, also lost his last fight in the summer to Vergil Ortiz Jr for the interim WBC light middleweight title.

Moses Itauma vs Demsey McKean - 8.30pm

One of the more intriguing undercard bouts spotlights Moses Itauma, who seeks to show why he's currently one of the most talked-about fighters in the sport. At just 19, the undefeated Brit has only gone the full distance twice in his career and steps into the ring following a knockout victory over Mariusz Wach.

Despite Itauma's confidence, Demsey McKean should not be overlooked. His only career loss came against Filip Hrgovic, who fought Daniel Dubois for the vacant IBF interim heavyweight title this summer.

Johnny Fisher vs Dave Allen – 7.30pm.

Johnny Fisher is not only a hit on social media but also impresses with his boxing prowess. At 25, 'The Romford Bull' gets to showcase his skills on a grand stage.

With an unbeaten record of 12-0, the Brit has emerged as a real knockout specialist and is to take on the experienced Dave Allen. After suffering his sixth career defeat to Frazer Clarke last year, Allen enters tonight's match with two consecutive victories and aims to use his experience to his advantage in Riyadh.

Peter McGrail vs Rhys Edwards – 6.30pm

Peter McGrail was due to fight Dennis McCann, but after McCann failed a drug test just days before the event, he will now face undefeated star Rhys Edwards. Despite suffering his first professional defeat last year against Ja'Rico O'Quinn, McGrail is full of confidence following two victories this year and aims to hand Edwards his first professional loss.

Isaac Lowe vs Lee McGregor – 5.30pm

Tyson Fury's long-time friend, Isaac Lowe, is set to compete on the undercard of tonight's fight. He comes into the match on a four-fight winning streak. Still, his opponent, Lee McGregor, will be a tough challenge despite Lowe's recent victories, including a points win over Hasibullah Ahmadi.

Daniel Lapin vs Dylan Colin - 4.30pm

Daniel Lapin, Usyk's training partner, will also be in action later this evening in Riyadh. The undefeated Ukrainian star impressed on the Fury vs Usyk I undercard and faces Dylan Colin, who has yet to taste defeat.

Andrii Novytskyi vs Edgar Ramirez - 3.30pm

Since his professional debut last year, Novytskyi has been impressive, with 10 of his 13 wins coming by knockout. Ramirez, however, enters the clash off the back of a win against Luis Pascual.

Mohammed Alakel vs Joshua Ocampo - 3pm

Local boxing star Mohammed Alakel is preparing for his second professional bout. Alakel, who triumphed in his debut match against Jesus Gonzalez from Colombia on the Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol undercard, is expected to put on another impressive display against Joshua Ocampo, despite Ocampo's track record of 33 career losses.
