Mathys Tel sparks Manchester United transfer frenzy as January decision made

by · Manchester Evening News

Bayern Munich youngster Mathys Tel has been inundated with messages from fans pleading with him to reconsider his decision to leave the club during the current transfer window. Manchester United are among the interested parties vying for his signature despite having spent only two and a half years in Bavaria.

It is believed that Tel's change of heart occurred after being left out of three consecutive Bundesliga matches under Vincent Kompany. Although he started in the recent Champions League match against Slovan Bratislava, Tel has become increasingly disenchanted with his opportunities.

With the transfer deadline of February 3 fast approaching, a deal is anticipated before then. As an exceptionally talented young player, there is a sense of disappointment among the fans about his impending departure.

Last season, Tel showcased his potential with seven goals and five assists in just over 1,000 minutes of league play. The transfer speculations have not seemed to affect Tel as he maintains his usual routine.

In an Instagram post on the same day as it emerged he was pushing to leave, Tel shared some recent photos of his life. The attacker wrote: "Some vibes [radio emoji]". However, the responses reveal the full story, reports football.london.

Bayern fans have flooded the player with appeals, some begging him to stay put while others suggest a short-term loan before he makes his comeback. The sentiment is heartfelt with one supporter commenting, "Please Stay. Just a Loan, but never leave us Mathys! ! Munich loves you. Your time will come! [red heart emoji]".

Meanwhile, fans from interested clubs are pitching their own persuasions. A Chelsea enthusiast chose to post the club's emblem in the comment section.

Tottenham and United followers chimed in as well, eager to guide him towards their respective sides. Arsenal fans have also been at the same game.

All four clubs are keen on bringing the skilful forward on board until at least the conclusion of the season. It is understood that Bayern and Tel are considering several deals, like a straight sale, a loan with an obligation to purchase, or merely a six-month loan arrangement.
