Ruben Amorim has made drastic Man United decision already to get rapid tactical boost
by Tom Coley · Manchester Evening NewsRuben Amorim is shaking things up at Manchester United by splitting his coaching staff into specialist areas to rapidly instil his philosophy, reports suggest. The Telegraph write that Amorim has assigned individual team members to cover defence, midfield, and attack, enabling players to quickly get to grips with his tactical vision.
He's brought a sizeable backroom squad to Old Trafford, including assistant Carlos Fernandes, goalkeeping expert Jorge Vital, along with Adelio Candido, Emanuel Ferro, and Paulo Barreira. Meanwhile, coaches Darren Fletcher and Andreas Georgson, plus assistant goalkeeping coach Craig Mawson, continue their roles from Erik ten Hag's tenure.
In an unconventional move, assistant Fernandes isn't orchestrating training as per tradition; instead, Amorim's appointees are zeroing in on specific player groups as a short-term strategy.

After leading the team to a narrow 3-2 Europa League victory over Bodo/Glimt—securing his maiden win since a debut draw against Ipswich—Amorim expressed how treasured his Old Trafford reception was despite being less known. He shared his heartfelt observation, saying: "The first thing is that half of the stadium doesn't really know me.
"I came from Portugal – I did nothing for this club yet. So the way they make me feel at home, it's so special, you know, it's not after something, it's before something.
"This is something special. And I will keep this to the end of my career. It's a special moment in my career, I hope it will be one of the many games here. It's a great crowd, great supporters," reports the Mirror.
"They are hungry for wins, that's what we want to give them. One more win in Europe, improve the team, show them what we are working on."
United are set to welcome struggling Everton on Sunday afternoon, with Amorim eyeing his first league victory. Despite sitting 12th in the table after twelve matches, they are just six points shy of fourth place as the weekend fixtures approach.
