Terry Yorath's family have announced his passing aged 75, with daughter Gabby Logan having to leave Match of the Day mid-episode on Wednesday to due to an emergency

Leeds United and Wales legend Terry Yorath has died at the age of 75. Yorath was the father of BBC presenter Gabby Logan, who had to leave Wednesday's episode of Match of the Day mid-show due to a family emergency.

In a statement, his children said: "To most he was a revered footballing hero, but to us he was Dad; a quiet, kind and gentle man. Our hearts are broken but we take comfort knowing that he will be reunited with our brother, Daniel."
