BREAKING: World Darts Championship star UPPERCUTS table in furious meltdown after being knocked out
Darts star Cameron Menzies showed his fury at the PDC World Darts Championship after getting knocked out in the first round to Charlie Manby, taking his rage out on the stage.
by Luke Thrower · The MirrorCameron Menzies couldn't hide his frustration on the Alexandra Palace stage, taking his anger out on the table on the main stage, after getting knocked out in the first round of the PDC World Darts Championship. The world number 24 seed lost 3-2 to Charlie Manby in a dramatic encounter.
Menzies had been leading in the match before "Champagne Charlie" put him under pressure to get over the line. In the end, several missed doubles for both put them on edge, until Manby finally finished it off on double one, taking the match in dramatic circumstances.
In the end, his opponent couldn't hide his own frustration, walking up to his own water table and punching the underside of it several times. The Sky Sports commentary team said: "And Cameron Menzies is beating the living day lights out of the water table."
The 36-year-old appeared to put his hands up in apologies, but was met with booing from the Ally Pally crowd as he left. Menzies then walked off the stage, with blood visibly on his own fist, as he was directed to leave the stage after defeat.
It comes as a frustrating defeat for Menzies, following a match that he had in control for many moments, before letting it slip by.
