Laura Woods forced to apologise after Tyson Fury's Oleksandr Uysk comments live on TNT Sports

Tyson Fury appeared on TNT Sports before Nick Ball vs Ronny Rios on Saturday night to speak about his preparations to face Oleksandr Uysk - and the broadcaster got more than they bargained for

Tyson Fury dropped the F-bomb live on TV when discussing his upcoming re-match with Oleksandr Usyk, prompting a grovelling apology from Laura Woods.

Fury is gearing up to face Usyk once again in December after losing their first fight in Riyadh in May. But he took some time out of his training to head to Liverpool to watch Nick Ball vs Ronny Rios on Saturday night, with his cousin Walter Fury on the undercard.

Walter beat Dale Arrowsmith to take his professional record to 2-0 much to the delight of his family members in attendance. Fury was then brought onto the TNT Sports panel to cover the headline fight and talk about his much-anticipated fight against Uysk.

You never know what you are going to get when the 36-year-old opens his mouth – something TNT Sports found out to their detriment. Asked by Woods how he felt about fighting now he is older and wiser, Fury said: "I've always been a bad man my whole life and I'm still one today at nearly 40 years old. Few years off 40, but still, I like to say that, it sounds more.

"However, I'm going to go in there with destroy mode. Last time I went to box him and I was being cautious. I was boxing the head right off him, let's talk facts. Anyone can get caught as we've seen in a lot of these heavyweight fights. But this time I'm not going for a points decision. I'm going to knock a motherf***er out. I'm not even sure if you can say that on TNT."

Boxing pundit Steve Bunce then said: “I think you’ve said it!” Presenter Woods then interjected: "It might be past the watershed, but I probably do have to apologise for a couple of people watching if you're offended by that. It is Tyson Fury though, so you might get a bit of that anyway."

Fury then concluded: "I'll apologise for my behaviour. If you don't like it, change the channel!” Woods added: “I thought there was going to be another one then!”

Earlier in the interview, Bunce asked Fury about his preparations, given the difficulties that came last time around, with a cut on his eyebrow delaying the last bout. "I'm ready to rock and roll," Fury said. "Listen, I don't need a 12-week camp. I've been boxing all my life. I'm ready to go tonight, tomorrow, next weekend, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday. It doesn't really matter.

"I can come in the ring at 30 stone and do 15 rounds. I'm a natural at it. Do you know what I mean? All I need is five or six weeks sparring – good sparring this time where I've not got a cut that's going to open up.

"We were worried about the cut so much in camp because there was a massive payday on this cut. And the cut wasn't even a factor in the fight. So now, cushty, I can't wait.”
