F1 LIVE: Lando Norris, Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri speak ahead of Abu Dhabi showdown
The outcome of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will decide whether Lando Norris or Oscar Piastri can stop Max Verstappen winning a fifth consecutive Formula 1 drivers' title
by Daniel Moxon · The MirrorThis is it – the first final-day Formula 1 title decider since Lewis Hamilton vs Max Verstappen in 2021 and the first involving three drivers who can all still become champion for 15 years.
The outcome of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will decide whether Lando Norris or Oscar Piastri can stop Verstappen winning a fifth consecutive F1 drivers' title. Norris heads into Sunday's race as the obvious favourite with a very handy 12-point cushion between himself and Verstappen, while McLaren team-mate Piastri is four points further adrift.
Media day at the Yas Marina Circuit is in full swing and all three title contenders were scheduled to speak in the FIA press conference.
Friday will then see several top stars replaced by rookies in the first free practice session, while the second hour of running will feature a more familiar line-up. Then it's on to final practice and qualifying on Saturday before the title-deciding main event on Sunday afternoon.
We'll be here to bring you all the key updates from drivers up and down the grid as they speak to reporters on the final media day of the year, as well as the rest of the news from the F1 paddock.
