The FA Cup third round tie between Charlton Athletic and Chelsea was halted due to a medical emergency in the opening minutes of the match.

The Blues were drawn against Championship opposition and the London derby was selected for live broadcast by TNT Sports. However, the game was stopped in the opening quarter of an hour due to a medical emergency.

Charlton's X account confirmed the reason behind the stoppage, posting: "There has been a break in play due to a medical emergency in the crowd."
