Jurrien Timber fires warning to three Man Utd players as he issues demand to Arsenal stars
Arsenal host Manchester United in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday, with Jurrien Timber hoping to avoid the same nightmare as Trent Alexander-Arnold against the Red Devils
by Jacob Leeks · The MirrorJurrien Timber has warned Manchester United's stars, including three of his Dutch international team-mates, that they are in for a tough test when they face Arsenal in the FA Cup on Sunday.
United claimed a morale-boosting draw at runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool in their last game before the third-round clash. Their success came after Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes terrorised Reds right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Timber is likely to start in the same position for the Gunners, having enjoyed a standout season so far. And the Dutchman is confident he can avoid suffering the same nightmare as Alexander-Arnold.
"We played them already about a month ago so we know what we're getting,” he said. “We know they have a good squad with a lot of good players. So it's not going to be easy but we'll be ready."

Sunday's tie could see Timber come face-to-face with international team-mates Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Zirkzee and Tyrell Malacia. But the Arsenal star has insisted he will not be playing nice with his compatriots in the lead up to the game.
He said: “I'll speak to them after the game, when everything is done. But it's always fun to see those guys. I'm really looking forward to that game and bouncing back. It's another cup game, so we have to win.
“We definitely have to learn from what happened [against Newcastle ]. It was already, but United is always a big game. Another cup game. United at home. We want to win and give the fans something to celebrate, so we're going to give it our all."

Timber played all 90 minutes as Arsenal fell to a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday. That has put their hopes of winning that trophy in serious doubt, though there is a second leg still to come at St James' Park.
The Gunners also sit six points behind Liverpool in the Premier League, with the Reds holding a game in hand. They are third in the Champions League, but still have work to do to be sure of a place in the Last 16.
That makes the FA Cup Arsenal's best chance to win a trophy this season, though have been handed a more difficult draw than they would have hoped for. Despite that, Timber is still eyeing a clean sweep of trophies despite the odds stacking up against the Gunners.
Timber said: “We want to win everything. Every competition is really important. Of course it's not easy, it's not always going to happen, but that's why it's also important that we bounce back. So the focus is on the FA Cup now, and then on the Premier League again."
