Carabao Cup semi-final draw LIVE: Start time and how to watch as ties confirmed

The first domestic cup competition has now firmly reached the business end with Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and others hoping to make it all the way to Wembley

by · The Mirror

The Carabao Cup semi-final ties will be confirmed on Wednesday night as the season's first cup competition reaches its latter stages.

Newcastle lifted the trophy last season, ending their long wait for silverware by beating Liverpool at Wembley. And as it stands, the Magpies remain in the competition, with the draw for the final four set to take place after their quarter-final clash with Fulham at St James' Park.

Chelsea are the only side guaranteed to be a part, having beaten Cardiff on Tuesday night. Manchester City take on Brentford in Wednesday's other last-eight meeting.

We will know three of our four semi-finalists by the time the balls are drawn, but the final entrant will not be confirmed until next week. Arsenal were due to face Crystal Palace this week, but that game was forced to be moved due to the Eagles' participation in the Conference League.

The draw is expected to get underway at around 10.15pm - unless Newcastle vs Fulham goes beyond the 90 minutes. We will have all the build up and live updates from the draw as the two-legged ties are officially confirmed...
