Why isn't Arsenal vs Fulham on TV? Gunners fans fume at 'ridiculous' decision as Man Utd preferred

Arsenal's Premier League clash with Fulham wasn't chosen by TNT Sports, leaving Gunners supporters furious as Manchester United against Nottingham Forest was preferred

Arsenal fans have been left fuming after discovering that Tuesday's clash with Fulham isn't available to watch on TV in the UK. The Gunners are back in Premier League action following a 16-day break due to international fixtures and the FA Cup quarter-finals last weekend.

Mikel Arteta's side are doing their best to chase down runaway leaders Liverpool in title race, with the gap currently 12 points and only nine games remaining. Arsenal have been boosted by the return of Bukayo Saka after three months out injured, as the England star has been named on the bench.

But supporters who aren't lucky enough to be at the Emirates are furious, with no way of legally watching the game. That's because TNT Sports aren't broadcasting the match, choosing to show Manchester United away to Nottingham Forest instead.

Sky Sports didn't pick Arsenal's game either. They opted for the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton on Wednesday followed by Chelsea against Tottenham on Thursday.

In other midweek rounds this season, UK viewers have been able to watch all 10 matches either on TNT or Amazon Prime. But this week's fixtures will only see three games televised.

Gunners fans made their feelings clear of social media ahead of kick-off, with one posting: "What a ridiculous state of affairs that it's not possible to legally watch the Arsenal game tonight despite having a TV licence, paying for Sky Sports, TNT and Amazon. Only country in the world that makes it so hard to watch our domestic league."

Another said: "Bit annoying the Arsenal game isn't on TV tonight... midweek fixture after the international break 19:45 kick off but let me guess, available anywhere else in the world."

A third followed-up by pointing out: "If I was in Holland, Spain, the USA...I could watch the Arsenal on the TV tonight but because I'm in England I can't. How does that make any sense?

Fortunately or supporters, a change is coming next season thanks to the Premier League's new TV deal. All matches which aren't scheduled for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday will be broadcast live in the UK.

Arsenal have struggled against Fulham in recent seasons and Arteta said ahead of the game: "It's always a really tough opposition, a team that is very well coached.

"They've been together for many years, they have great organisation, a lot of individual quality and a very clear identity of how they play, how they want to approach the games, especially against us.

"So we're going to have to be really good tomorrow to beat them."
