Enzo Maresca has just faced the media following Chelsea's victory against Shamrock Rovers in the UEFA Conference League league phase.

The Blues have finished the newly-named league phase with a perfect record - winning six from six. Chelsea do not have a European match now until March in the round of 16.

We heard from Maresca on what that means for his squad and much more. Here is the full transcript below...

How excited are you with that win, and for the future?

"Very excited, first of all with the performance, with the result. Once again I think they show how serious they are, how professional they are. In this kind of game sometimes it's easy to drop, but first of all they know that they are not allowed to drop, and second, we need to show that we are serious, we are professional, and once again I think they show that.

"And then, yeah, it's been a good chance for the young players, some of them, so we are very happy.

And how impressed by Marc Guiu, how patient does he need to be now? He's obviously got a big future, hasn't he?

"Yeah, with Marc the problem is that sometimes we forget the age. He's the same age as Joshua Acheampong, Ty [George], he already scored five six goals in this competition, and since we started he's working well, he's taking his chance, and he knows that with Nicolas [Jackson] there, with Christo [Nkunku] there, it's not easy for him, but it's important that he continues to work in the right way."

You dominated the group stages, do you feel this is a tournament you should go on and win now?

"I think now that we are in the next round, we have to be focused on the next round, and then if we are able to win, go in the next, but thinking to play the final or to win this competition when you have still five or six games to go, I don't think it's the correct thing."

Marc Cucurella, what's the difference this year from last year?

"I said many times, I don't know about last year, I was not here, so it's difficult to judge. The only thing I can say is that sometimes it's more about understanding the position and understanding the game, and Marc is doing very well. In the last two games he scored two goals, but in the previous game when he was playing like an attacking midfielder, or like a winger against Leicester, he always did very well.

"In the last two games he scored with that, he scored with right tonight. But about Marc, but not only about Marc to be honest, about all of them, they start to understand where they have to be to receive the ball, how they have to move, and we are very happy."

I appreciate the knockout phase is a little way away now, but will we see Cole Palmer, Fofana, Lavia, or when will we make that decision?

"It depends also a little bit about January window transfer, it depends if players are going to leave or players are going to arrive. So talking at this moment about the next squad, I don't know, I don't have any idea, we need to wait and we'll see.

Do you see it as a good thing that the knockout phase for you guys starts in March and you can focus on the league, or is it a problem that you now have less opportunity to play than players that aren't playing in Premier League?

"No, I think, you never know, but probably in this moment we can focus on the domestic competition, probably it's better.

Is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall going to stay beyond January?

"Unfortunately I cannot say that, not about Kiernan, about all the squad, because when the transfer window is open, unfortunately anything can happen. So I'm not focused on January, the only thing I can say about Kiernan is that we are very happy in the way he's working, we are very happy about his performance, and this is my thought about Kiernan.

Would it be slightly odd if Dewsbury-Hall left on loan?

"We don't want one of our players to leave, the problem is that sometimes the question is more for them, that if they say, OK, you don't want me to leave, but I'm not happy, I want to play more. So in that case, we are not going to say, no, you have to stay, yes or yes. It's a matter of agreement between the club and the player, the only thing I can say is that we are happy with Kiernan, then we'll see."

Harrison Murray-Campbell made his debut tonight, can I ask you about some of the qualities you see in him, and what did you make of his performance tonight?

"When you play the first game, it's never easy, so he did quite well. We have seen that he's good on the ball, he's also good defending, and I think he could deserve the chance to get minutes tonight, and he was OK."
