Latest Arsenal injury news after Ben White update amid Mikel Arteta's nervous wait on six players

Mikel Arteta will be hoping to receive some good news on the injury front across November's international break. The Gunners entered the two-week pause off the back of a 1-1 draw against Chelsea which saw their winless run in Premier League action extend to four games.

Defeats to Bournemouth and Newcastle arrived, either side of the draw against Liverpool, but while results have been disappointing, their squad has slowly been getting stronger. During that time, Ben White, Jurrien Timber and Bukayo Saka have all recovered from issues with Martin Odegaard also making a long-awaited return.

The Gunners captain appeared off the bench for the final minutes of their Champions League defeat to Inter Milan before starting and then playing the whole game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Following that, he looked set to represent Norway over the break, but has since returned to London Colney to further recover.

As for other players who are staying put in north London, Saka and Declan Rice both pulled out of England duty following Arteta's honest update. "It doesn't look good, because for those two players of that importance to tell you they cannot continue in the game, it's not good news," he said after the duo were subbed off with injuries.

"I don't know whether to expect them to be fit because if not they don't come off." A statement from England then confirmed they would miss Nations League games against Ireland and Greece. "Trent Alexander-Arnold, Levi Colwill, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Cole Palmer, Aaron Ramsdale, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka are all unavailable," it read.

As for White, football.london understands he has undergone a minor procedure this week. The versatile defender has been plagued by issues this season, but there is hope he will not be out for too long. There is hope, meanwhile, that Riccardo Calafiori can return for the clash against Nottingham Forest following the international break.

Elsewhere, two other defenders in Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney remain absent, though Arteta is hopeful the latter can return from a hamstring injury soon. "He's looking really good. I think that he's over the period where he was still struggling, so he looks really sharp out there.

"He hasn't trained with the team yet but hopefully he can do that in the next week or two," the Arsenal manager revealed in late-October. As for Tomiyasu, it is now likely every precaution will be taken after he suffered a major setback despite only playing the final five minutes against Southampton in his return game.
