Erling Haaland's dad hits out at Arsenal after Man City hammering

Former Manchester City defender and father of Erling Haaland, Alf-Inge Haaland, has hit out at Arsenal after they shared a picture of Myles Lewis-Skelly mimicking his son's celebration.

Lewis-Skelly and Haaland had a coming together at the end of the game at the Etihad Stadium earlier this season when the Norwegian striker became public enemy No.1 among Gunners fans. The forward chucked the ball at the head of Gabriel Magalhaes' head when John Stones equalised late on and then told Mikel Arteta to 'stay humble'.

That controversy from September manifested itself again at the Emirates Stadium throughout as Arsenal took every opportunity to wind up Haaland. After taking an early lead, Gabriel celebrated in the striker's face.

When Lewis-Skelly made it 3-1, he chose to perform Haaland's iconic celebration which sees him cross his legs and perform a yoga pose. This picture was then shared on social media by Arsenal's official account with the caption: "THIS TEAM."

Taking exception to that post, Haaland Snr fired back at the Gunners, replying: "'This team' that wins everything. Ehhhhh, not," accompanied with the sky blue emoji.

Haaland Jnr decided to keep a low profile after the final whistle of the defeat as he chose to head straight toward the away end to applaud the supporters who travelled down from Manchester. After doing so, the striker decided to head down the tunnel to listen to Pep Guardiola's post-match team talk.

Victory for the Gunners keeps them six points behind Liverpool in the Premier League table. The leaders' game in hand at Everton takes place a week on Wednesday.

"I only regret the last 25 minutes, we forgot to do what we should do, what we have done for 65, 70 minutes," City boss Guardiola said after the game. "Of course it's a difficult game starting in this stadium, against that team in the first minutes, it's happened many times this season.

"But after 10, 15 minutes I think we took the game and played really, really, really, really good and we are in it after 1-1. Of course at 3-1 they are comfortable, its more difficult. "It's happened all season, we are giving away too many things."
