Arsenal's final nine Premier League fixtures compared to Liverpool as title hope emerges

The 2024/25 Premier League campaign is nearing its conclusion with Arsenal currently sat in second. As has been the theme for the last few seasons, the Gunners are comfortably in a Champions League qualification place, but do look set to miss out on the title.

Manchester City have won the last three but currently find themselves at risk of not even qualifying for the Champions League. Despite Arsenal's biggest competitors struggling, Liverpool have stormed to the top under Arne Slot in his first season at Anfield.

With the Reds playing in the Carabao Cup final this past Sunday, Arsenal were able to close the gap between themselves and the leaders down to 12 points. As there is only nine games to play, it would take a shocking run of results for the title race to be back on for the final weeks of the season.

However, until it is mathematically over, the Gunners could still win domestic silverware with Liverpool's recent dodgy patch providing some confidence. With that said, football.london has taken a look at the remaining fixtures for both teams.

Arsenal's remaining Premier League fixtures:

April 1 vs Fulham (H) at 7.45pm

April 5 vs Everton (A) at 12.30pm

April 12 vs Brentford (H) at 5.30pm

April 20 vs Ipswich Town (A) at 2pm

April 26 vs Crystal Palace (H) at 5.30pm

May 3 vs Bournemouth (H) at 3pm

May 10 vs Liverpool (A) at 3pm

May 18 vs Newcastle (H) at 3pm

May 25 vs Southampton (A) at 4pm

Verdict: Taking a minimum of 13 points from their next five games will be crucial to Arsenal at least remaining within touching distance of Liverpool.

While it will be a significant challenge, the Gunners beating all of Everton, Fulham, Brentford, Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace is certainly possible. Following that, Arteta's side have to play three teams pushing for Europe with one of those being Liverpool.

Either side of their trip to Anfield, Arsenal face Bournemouth and Newcastle at Emirates Stadium. Both teams beat Arsenal in the reverse fixture and therefore a major task awaits before they end the season away at Southampton.
