Nottingham Forest's Anthony Elanga names four Chelsea danger players for Premier League clash

Elanga scored his first Forest goal at Stamford Bridge last season in a 1-0 victory, and he is hoping to repeat those heroics against Thomas Tuchel's table-toppers

Anthony Elanga, the former Manchester United winger now playing for Nottingham Forest, is hoping to recreate last season's shock 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge when they face Chelsea again.

Elanga, who scored his first goal for Forest in that game, has become an important player for Forest following his £15m move in August 2024. And ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash between the two sides, Elanga has named the four players his side will have to be wary of.

He told BBC Radio Nottingham: "Hopefully we can go there, just be brave and believe we can go there and win. I feel like we've got the players to do so. We respect Chelsea they've had a good start to their season.

"Cole Palmer is in really good form and a player I know well from the academy days (in Manchester). He's special and someone to look out for.

"But they have many players in Nicolas Jackson, Noni Madueke and a friend of mine Jadon (Sancho) who has had a really good start to the season and they are a good team with a new manager.

"It's important we stick to what we know best and try to play our game."

Nottingham Forest's impressive away form has propelled them into the top half of the Premier League table, with both of their wins coming from 1-0 victories on the road at Southampton and Liverpool.

"We've been playing really well away from home," said the Sweden international. "It's been a fairly good start to the season. We've had a few games where we could have finished teams off but it's still early doors.

"We've still got so many more games to go and I feel like we're on a good path. We were disappointing at home against Fulham (Forest lost 1-0) and this is an opportunity to bounce back."

Forest have been part of the least goal-laden fixtures in the Premier League this season, with only 11 goals six for and five against in their first six games.

The gaffer Nuno Espirito Santo highlighted teamwork as the key, stating: "The team has been solid and compact but it's about teamwork.

"(It is) not only the defensive line and midfield, it starts with pressure from the front and covering the spaces."

Facing Chelsea's talented squad, he acknowledged the challenge ahead: "It's going to be very important against Chelsea because they have good players and play good football. It will require a lot of hard work from us."
