Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Man Utd eye Mathys Tel transfer battle with key demand made

Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are all reported to have joined Chelsea in a move to try and sign Bayern Munich attacker Mathys Tel in the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old has been linked with an exit throughout the past month, and has not featured in any of the last three matches for the Bundesliga giants.

The Independent report that Arsenal and Chelsea are both investigating a move for the young attacker, while the Athletic state that Manchester United are also considering a move, with Antony leaving for Real Betis on loan while question marks persist over the futures of Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford.

Fabrizio Romano states that Tottenham along with Manchester United are among seven clubs looking at a move for the young star.

However, according to numerous reports, one of the key demands for Tel after opting to leave Bayern is a guarantee on the amount of playing time he will receive, with a lack of playing time one of his primary reasons for an exit.

football.london understands if Chelsea were to receive any form of encouragement from Bayern that the player was for sale in this window, then the Blues would have no hesitation when it comes to making an official offer.

Tel may be one option the Gunners are considering, among rumours linking them with a big-money move for Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.

Spurs, meanwhile, are trying to sign at least one more player before the end of the January transfer window to bolster Ange Postecoglou's options, with goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky the only arrival so far despite a number of injury issues across the pitch.
