Arsenal welcome special guest to training camp as Bukayo Saka conversation spotted
by Stephen Killen · football.londonArsenal icon Ian Wright was a special guest at the training ground on Monday as Mikel Arteta's side return to the Premier League action.
With a mouth-watering Champions League showdown with Real Madrid to come, the Gunners' focus returns to domestic football with the opportunity to further reduce Liverpool's lead at the summit.
A 1-0 win over London rivals Chelsea saw Arsenal cut the Anfield club's advantage in the title race to 12 points and with a win over Fulham, who visit the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday (7:45pm kick-off), the arrears could be just nine before Liverpool take on rivals Everton on Wednesday.
Arsenal received a fresh boost during the international break and in the build-up to Tuesday's visit from Marco Silva's side, with Bukayo Saka in contention for his first involvement since the end of December.
The England international tore his hamstring, which required surgery, during the first-half of the 5-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. But Mikel Arteta revealed the positive injury update during a campaign blighted by issues.
In a video posted by the official Arsenal X account, Wright can be seen sharing an embrace with Saka as he visited London Colney with the Gunners icon in high spirits ahead of the final nine games of the league season.
"What's up, B?" Wright says. "Bro, I must be shrinking man, I feel like I'm shrinking.
"Everyone looks so much taller. I feel like I never even played the game.
"Man's missing it too much, look at all these things, the food..."
